The upcoming Henry Selick film “Coraline” has just released a new movie poster. Henry Selick (James and the Giant Peach, The Nightmare Before Christmas) describes the movie as a marriage of old-fashioned stop-motion animation with the latest 3-D techniques. The new poster reflects that Henry Selick style with a picture of a little girl (Coraline) peeking through a lit doorway with the words “Be Careful What You Wish For” written behind her head.

The film is based on Neil Gaiman's novel about a girl, Coraline, who finds a secret door in her new home that leads to an alternate version of her life. The film features the voices of Dakota Fanning as Coraline and Teri Hatcher and John Hodgman as the parents.

Coraline comes to theatres February 6, 2009.
