The recent videos and posters (2) that have been released for the upcoming fantasy movie Coraline has gotten us excited for the movie's premiere-and these seven new movie stills from Focus Features have kept up that excitement.
The newly released stills keep the unique whimsical feeling we've seen from the movie's recent trailer and have us thinking about how 3-D will be used in the stop-motion film.

Coraline, based on the book of the same name from Neil Gaiman, is being directed by Henry Selick (James and the Giant Peach, The Nightmare Before Christmas) who describes the movie as a marriage of old-fashioned stop-motion animation with the latest 3-D techniques. It is the story of a girl who finds a secret door in her new home that leads to a great alternate version of her life-at least, that's how it seems until Coraline discovers the catch to this new world and her alternate parents try to keep her from leaving. The movie features the voices of Dakota Fanning as Coraline and Teri Hatcher and John Hodgman as the parents. Coraline comes to US theatres February 6, 2009 and arrives in the UK March 20th.
