Bantam Spectra has a new competition for unpublished writers of fantasy, science fiction, and horror. In the Summer 2009 issue of Spectra Pulse the winning writer can have their work featured in the magazine with known authors and receive $100 for their work.

The Summer 2009 issue of the magazine will be distributed at the San Diego Comic-Con and various conventions and bookstores. The short story must be under 2,000 words and submitted by January 31st, 2009. The winner will be notified by March 18th, and announced in April 2009.
