Eyes Like Stars by Lisa MantchevEyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev is now available for preorder. This is the first novel in "The Théâtre Illuminata" trilogy about a girl named Beatrice Shakespeare Smith who resides at the Théâtre Illuminata, where the characters of every written play are bound to the theatre. The young adult fantasy novel will be available July 7th in the United States and Canada. Eyes Like Stars: Theatre Illuminata, Part I is 368 pages and aimed at readers ages 12 and up.

First Annual Spectra Pulse Short Fiction Contest PDF Print E-mail

Fantasy Fiction Contest

Bantam Spectra has a new competition for unpublished writers of fantasy, science fiction, and horror. In the Summer 2009 issue of Spectra Pulse the winning writer can have their work featured in the magazine with known authors and receive $100 for their work.

The Summer 2009 issue of the magazine will be distributed at the San Diego Comic-Con and various conventions and bookstores. The short story must be under 2,000 words and submitted by January 31st, 2009. The winner will be notified by March 18th, and announced in April 2009.
